Job Summary

Description

The Marine team protects the critical infrastructure of world trade and advises how to minimize exposure to risk at each key stage. With talent drawn from across the shipping industry and hundreds of combined years of shipping insurance experience our team supports clients in Hull & Machinery (H&M)Protection and Indemnity (P&I) and Marine Liabilities (Special Risks).

  • Business Development function and will contribute new business of marine serve the clients independently

  • Prepare the presentation to client do the training for the client and handle claims

  • Keep connection with the insurance and reinsurance market help develop and place the new business

  • Ensure all businesses are in complying with laws regulations and rules set by external regulators and internal compliance requirements.

  • Proactively monitor and chase up age of account receivables in a timely and traceable manner to minimize bad debit risks.

  • Working with other sectors to share knowledge skills experiences and resources in purpose of constant improvement on overall performance of the company.

  • Other tasks assigned by line manager



Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor or above Management Accounting Economics Insurance Actuarial etc.

  • Multiple years of experience in marine insurance (Hull and Cargo) (at least 8 years) including BD underwriter claim adjuster risk manager etc.

  • Being familiar with domestic marine markets including insurers reinsurers IG marine distributions etc. and willing to build connection with markets

  • International background and knowledge on overseas markets is preferred.

  • Professional marine knowledge excellent placing skills and abundant experience in practice.

  • Fluent language capability in Mandarin and English both in speaking and writing

  • Good English and Chinese communication skill

  • Enthusiasm in working as a marine broker and communicating with target clients

  • Teamwork spirit

  • Microsoft skills
