Description : Associate Director Global Investigations


This role will report directly to the Managing Counsel and Executive Director China Investigations in the Office of General Counsel.


As Associate Director Global Investigations Counsel responsibilities include acting as a confidential and impartial source to conduct internal Code of Conduct investigations. Responsibilities include supporting all high-risk China internal investigations and providing counsel across the country related to lower-level risk matters.


Preferred candidates will have a strong working knowledge of regulatory and compliance laws including the US Foreign Corruption Practices Act (FCPA) and anticorruption laws in China and have experience working on investigations and exposure to working in diverse complex markets.


A demonstrated ability to be diplomatic culturally sensitive firm and decisive when necessary is a key asset for the role. The successful candidate can communicate confidently and effectively in English on business and legal topics.


Moreover strong project management skills and the ability to plan and conduct complex investigations are required for the role. The successful candidate will also have the demonstrated ability to analyze data and draw reasonable conclusions communicate clearly possess excellent writing skills and as a strong team player be able to work effectively with others at various levels of the organization. As the position requires working across various functions within the company (e.g. Legal & Compliance Global Security HR Finance) demonstrated networking and influencing skills are required. The person must have the ability to travel across the Country.


Qualifications:

Education Requirement:

- Bachelors degree in Law; JD LLM or other Masters degree in Criminal Justice Forensic Accounting or related field of study is preferred.


Required Experience and Skills:

- PRC qualified; US bar preferred

- Understanding of complex regulations with an ability to communicate to business leaders and employees

- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing

- Experience in reporting to and interacting with executive level individuals

- Excellent presentation facilitation networking and influencing skills

- Positive attitude

- Leadership skills; Excellent judgment


Preferred Experience and Skills:

- 3 years of relevant Legal experience in investigations or similar matters

- Substantive skills in Anti-Corruption (i.e. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other

Anti-Corruption statutes) or similar laws
