JOB SUMMARY

This position will report to Senior Director of Finance and supports the financial analysis of a designated market at the Marriott International Greater China Regional Office. The Assistant Manager Finance will liaise with properties and various teams within the Finance organization as well as other disciplines including but not limited to Feasibility Asset Management Operations Commercial and Customer Team. The position is expected to leverage previous experience and understanding to provide recommendations on business decisions. This person is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate information / reporting are provided to internal and external stakeholders data consolidations data maintenance as well as report administration and tools.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

Bachelors degree in Finance Business Administration Data Analysis or related field with concentration in Finance.

Minimum of 5 years financial management experience

Fluent in oral and written communication in English & Chinese (Mandarin)

Preferred

Hotel finance and accounting experience preferred.

Excellent PC skills proficient in Microsoft Office products specifically Microsoft Excel and Power Point.

Proficiency in Accounting Software such as Sun System and ERP systems such as SAP Oracle preferred.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Provide support to Senior Director of Finance to analyze the financial performance of the designated region conduct analysis on various projects and proactively communicate to the team if trends and more importantly potential risks in compliance are identified.

Assists in preparation and reviewing consolidated operating results Continent P&L results and forecasts. Analyzes forecasts as applicable; identifies/tracks potential risks and opportunities and communicates appropriately.

Participate and support in the Finance strategic projects such as Long Range Planning Business Plan .

Support ad-hoc reporting and analytical requirements of the Finance organization and other disciplines by learning new reporting/visualization platforms such as Tableau & Power BI.

Proactively explore internal and external tools services resources and platforms to drive efficiencies in operating procedures to the extent that benefits not only the Finance but other organizations in the company.
