AI Product Manager (Model Routing Platform Global Markets)AI

Personal Connect is recruiting an AI Product Manager (Model Routing Platform Global Markets) on behalf of an innovative technology company in Beijing.

This is a product leadership role focused on building and scaling a nextgeneration model routing and API gateway platform designed for global developers. The successful candidate will own the full product lifecyclefrom beta to general availabilityand drive developer adoption across international markets.

The role combines product strategy developer experience design API infrastructure community building and gotomarket execution for a platform that sits at the intersection of AI inference cost optimisation and routing intelligence.

The position is open to both Chinese and international candidates. International candidates should have a strong professional background in developerfacing products and must be able to meet the applicable requirements for obtaining a Chinese work permit.

Key Responsibilities

Product Design

• Define the product scope and release strategy from beta to general availability including feature prioritisation freetier quota design feedback collection mechanisms and iteration cadence.
  
• Design the full developer onboarding lifecyclecovering registration authentication API Key management usage dashboards and quota controlsand continuously optimise the conversion funnel from first visit to first successful API call.
  
• Establish routing and model integration rules including model lifecycle standards (onboarding/offboarding) service provider integration specifications failover and degradation strategies and cost and latencybased routing logic.
  
• Build a model supplyside management framework including service provider evaluation criteria quality and availability monitoring model catalogue and pricing presentation and product support for quota and commercial negotiations.
  
• Design the metering and billing system covering tokenbased and percall metering topup and deduction flows usage alerting and overquota handling.
  

Developer Experience & Community

• Lead the development of an Englishlanguage documentation ecosystem including quickstart guides API references integration examples and best practices with a focus on reducing timetofirstintegration for developers.
  
• Own technical content production (architecture explanations design decision records solution comparisons) and manage daytoday operations of Englishlanguage technical communities across GitHub Discord X and Hacker News.
  
• Establish a feedbacktoproduct conversion mechanism and take endtoend ownership of key developer metrics including activation rate retention and API call volume.

岗位职责

产品设计

• 定义从 Beta 到正式版的产品范围与发布策略包括功能优先级免费额度设计反馈收集机制与迭代节奏
  
• 设计开发者接入全链路覆盖注册认证API Key 管理用量看板与额度控制并持续优化从首次访问到首次成功调用的转化漏斗
  
• 制定路由与模型接入规则包括模型上下线标准服务方接入规范故障转移与降级策略以及基于成本与延迟的选路逻辑
  
• 建立模型供给侧管理机制包括服务方评估标准质量与可用性监控模型目录与价格信息呈现方式以及配额与商务谈判所需的产品支撑
  
• 设计计量与计费体系涵盖按 token 与按调用量的计量口径充值扣费流程用量预警与超额处理机制
  

开发者体验与社区

• 主导英文文档体系建设覆盖快速上手指南API 参考集成示例与最佳实践持续降低开发者的首次集成成本
  
• 负责技术内容产出架构说明设计决策记录方案对比及英文技术社区GitHubDiscordXHacker News的日常运营
  
• 建立社区反馈到产品需求的转化机制并对开发者激活率留存率与调用量等核心指标承担最终责任
  

Requirements

Candidates should have:

• 38 years of professional experience in product management for selfservice developerfacing products. Acceptable domains include: model API platforms AI gateways API gateways SDKs developer platforms or opensource commercial products.
  
• Proven experience with products whose primary user base is located in overseas markets with a demonstrated ability to make product decisions with international developers as the default audience.
  
• English as a working languageable to write technical documentation for native Englishspeaking developers and participate directly in technical discussions and rebuttals in Englishlanguage communities. Must provide verifiable Englishlanguage technical outputs (documentation blog posts talks or opensource project maintenance records).
  
• Strong familiarity with the LLM application ecosystem including product logic for model routing agent frameworks and MCP.
  
• Solid understanding of product design for API gateways routing rate limiting and metering/billing.
  
• Code reading capabilityable to independently run demos understand technical points raised in issues and assess whether technical objections are valid. Productionlevel coding is not required.
  

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience will be considered a strong advantage:

• Experience with coldstart / zerotoone developer product growth (Product Hunt Hacker News or opensource community traction).
  
• Familiarity with the cost structure of LLM inference (compute resources tokenunit economics) and experience designing pricing strategies based on that understanding.
  
• Crosstimezone collaboration or overseas team management experience.
  
• Background in cryptography trusted computing or security or participation in the design and delivery of related products.

This is not an AI model research or ML engineering position. The focus is on the product platform and ecosystem that enable developers to consume AI capabilities at scale.
