Application Engineer Automotive MCU (2027 NCG Campus Hire)

Location: Shanghai / Chongqing China

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leading automotive customers field application engineers marketing and sales teams to understand system requirements and support application development based on NXP automotive MCU solutions.
• Participate in the development of embedded software evaluation platforms reference designs application notes and technical collateral for automotive applications.
• Assist customers in debugging integration and technical issue analysis related to MCU hardware software and automotive systems.
• Support technical workshops customer trainings and internal knowledge-sharing activities.
• Explore and evaluate emerging automotive technologies and application trends including automotive safety security zonal architecture and vehicle networking.
• Work closely with global engineering teams to help customers accelerate development and successfully adopt NXP solutions.
• Build technical expertise in automotive microcontrollers embedded systems and software platforms through project experience and continuous learning.

Basic Requirements

• 2027 graduate in:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Microelectronics
  • Computer Science
  • Embedded Systems
  • Automotive Engineering
  • Software Engineering
  • or related disciplines
• Solid fundamentals in embedded systems and programming.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated curious and eager to learn new technologies.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience or coursework in one or more of the following areas are highly preferred:

• Microcontrollers (MCU) SoC architecture and on-chip peripherals
• Embedded C/C software development
• RTOS device drivers interrupt handling multi-core systems or operating systems
• Automotive software and standards including:
  • AUTOSAR
  • Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
  • Automotive Cybersecurity
  • In-Vehicle Networking (CAN LIN Ethernet)
• Hardware design debugging and lab instrumentation
• Software development tools such as Git IDEs debuggers or scripting languages (Python preferred)
• AI applications in embedded or automotive systems
• Technical presentations competitions research projects or open-source contributions
