Are you looking for a hands-on career where no two days are the same Join Gerdau as a Yard Operator and become an essential part of our operations team!
As a Yard Operator youll play a key role in maintaining safe efficient and productive yard operations. From inspecting and grading scrap materials to operating heavy equipment and supporting daily yard activities youll be part of a team that keeps our business moving forward.
Operate loaders material handlers and other mobile equipment safely and efficiently
Inspect incoming and outgoing scrap materials for quality and environmental standards
Assist with loading unloading and processing ferrous and non-ferrous materials
Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks
Support inventory management and operational efficiency initiatives
Deliver outstanding customer service and work collaboratively with your team
Participate in daily safety activities and uphold Gerdaus strong safety culture
Previous experience operating heavy equipment is an asset
Interest in learning scrap grading and recycling operations
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Problem-solving skills and a positive work ethic
High school education preferred
A desire to grow your skills and build a career with Gerdau

Salary: $27.26 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate: - Cambridge ON - reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
