KeyResponsibilities

• Patroldesignatedroadsandrepairdeficiencieswhenidentified.
• Communicatetotheareapatrolsupervisoranydeficienciesandhazardsnotremedied.
• Decisionmakingresponsibleforcallingdriversininatimelymannertoservicetheroutesanddeployplows.
• Respondtoallincidentswithinthepatrolarea(accidentsspillsetc.)andtakeappropriateaction.
• Ensureallroadwaysareclearofalldebrisinpatrolarea.

• Dispatchwintermaintenanceequipmentbasedonrouterequirementsandmonitorwinteroperations.
• Effectivelycommunicatewithemergencyservices;MTO/CommunicationCentreambulancepoliceandfiredepartments.
• Communicate/coordinatewithadjoiningpatrolyardsregardingweatherconditionsdetoursandhighwayclosures.
• Manageandmonitorequipmentfailuresandrepairs.
• Respondtopubliccomplaints.
• MaintainanaccuratepatrolDiarydaily.
• Assistinthecompletionofallrequireddaily/weekly/monthlyreportsasspecifiedinthecontract.

• MusthaveavalidGdriverslicenseDZorequivalentispreferred.
• CandidateswithOTMBook7trainingwillbegivenpreference.
• Strongknowledgeofhighwaymaintenance.
• Computerliterateandcapableofcompletingformsinatimelymanner.
• Strongdecisionmakingandleadershipskills.
• Strongorganizationalskillswithclearcommunicationabilitiesbothverbalandwritten.
• Mustbeabletoworkwithlittlesupervision;mustbeself-directed.
