Operator Main Responsibilities

Youre responsible for conducting the daily operation and maintenance of the WWTP. This position will report to the area Operations Manager

• The main responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
  • Carry out the daily operation (regulatory monitoring and reporting process adjustments chemical transferring and maintenance) of the facility;
  • Provide operational support & troubleshooting for plant operations;
  • Maintain required inventory and inventory control of critical spare parts chemicals & consumables;
  • Create maintenance requests ;
  • Complete and compile data of daily inspections monitoring and sampling as required;
  • Perform maintenance tasks as requested by the supervisor;
  • Perform laboratory analysis and reporting;
  • Preparation weekly monthly annual reports as required;
  • Provide training and mentorship to plant operational staff;
  • Participate in required meetings (in-person & remotely);
  • Participate enforce and comply with all aspects of the companys health and safety program.

Technologies: DAF centrifuges.

Hours of Work ( on-call)

• Monday 8am-4:30pm

• Tuesday 8am-12pm

• Wednesday 8am-12pm

• Thursday 8am-4:30pm

• Friday 8am-12pm

• Note: if you want to do more hours (40 hrs/w) Aquatech can give you more responsabilities in the Calgary area working in PM (Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday)

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications

• Current WWTP Level I min (proof of certification is required) / Level II is preferred;
• Ability to lift 25 kg (55lb);
• Intermediate to advanced mechanical knowledge;
• Ability to work under pressure quickly and efficiently;
• Excellent problem solving skills;
• Strong independent worker and team player;
• Good communication skills both written and verbal;
• Proven ability to supervise and communicate with staff members;
• Positive attitude and able to promote a positive image of AQUATECH.
