Title:Warehouse Sales Intern - (An Internship Opportunity)
Position Summary
The Sales Intern will support the Sales team by assisting with lead generation market research CRM management customer outreach sales administration and coordination with internal Operations teams. This position provides hands-on experience within the transportation warehousing and supply chain industry while developing professional sales communication customer discovery and business development skills.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting
Research prospective customers across target industries and identify key decision-makers using company websites LinkedIn and other business resources.
Build prospect lists based on company size industry geography and opportunity.
Assist with outbound prospecting campaigns through cold calling email and LinkedIn outreach.
Generation
Qualify inbound and outbound leads according to FMI criteria including basic customer needs timelines storage or distribution requirements and service fit.
Gather relevant company information including number of locations warehouse footprint distribution network product categories volumes when available and existing logistics providers.
Management
Maintain accurate customer and prospect records.
Update contacts notes activities and opportunities.
Assist with data cleanup and segmentation.
Track prospect engagement.
Research
Research companies expanding into Western Canada with potential needs for warehousing transportation distribution cross-docking reverse logistics kitting co-packing or project logistics.
Monitor industry trends and identify growing market segments.
Support
Support marketing initiatives by researching content ideas and customer success stories.
Administration
Prepare prospect lists opportunity tracking spreadsheets meeting agendas and presentation materials for sales campaigns and customer meetings.
Schedule customer meetings when required.
Relationship Support
Participate in customer meetings when appropriate take notes and support follow-up communication and action items.
Coordination
Support internal coordination with Operations to confirm service fit warehouse capacity considerations and follow-up requirements for potential customer opportunities.
Track weekly prospecting activity lead generation metrics and pipeline updates with accuracy and consistency.
Education Skills & Qualifications
Fourth-year student in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business or a related field.
Interest in warehousing logistics transportation or supply chain sales with a willingness to learn FMIs services and customer solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including a professional and confident phone manner.
Excellent organizational skills attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Self-motivated eager to learn and comfortable learning new software.
Ability to research analyze information and use Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with CRM software is considered an asset.

Conditions
An internship opportunity for (16 weeks - Fall 2026) for students in Logistics/Supply Chain Management/ Business/ or related field (preferably fourth year students/ about to graduate).
A Work Integrated Learning agreement signed by the student and their academic institution confirming that the placement furthers their studies is a must to submit.
Proof of enrolment for the term that they are applying for is required.
A learning plan written by the student and signed by them and the employer is required.
Able to start in the first week of September 2026.
