Vice President of Development

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Vice President for Land Acquisitions to lead our team on a full-time basis at our location in Woodstock ON.

• Lead the development strategy for renewable energy projects in Canada and support the growth of Prowinds Canadian business
• Manage and develop the Canadian team (approx. 5 people)
• Identify and secure new renewable energy project opportunities and advance wind solar and battery storage projects through the development process including permitting and land acquisition
• Conduct financial evaluations of project opportunities and review project economics and risks
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners communities consultants and development partners
• Represent Prowind in discussions with stakeholders regulators and industry partners
• Monitor policy developments and market trends affecting renewable energy in Canada

• Senior leadership experience in renewable energy development or a related industry
• Proven experience in project development preferably in wind energy and strong understanding of renewable energy markets and regulatory frameworks
• Experience in financial analysis and evaluation of development projects
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• University degree in Business Engineering Energy Management Finance a related field or equivalent experience
• Fluency in English is required for business communication and stakeholder management
• German language skills would be considered an asset
• Willingness to travel

• Salary Range - $160K-$200K
