Note:Applicants must be an active Masters or PhD student at Memorial University for the entire duration of the internship.

What Youll Do:

• Build a research projectfrom conception to implementation focusedon fraud and money laundering detection.

• Applyadvanced AI techniques to real-world financial crime problems using production datasets.

• Collaborate with teammates across our AI research and product teams.

• Writean academic paper/report based on research findings.

• Present results at NasdaqVerafinsAIKnowledge Exchange.

What Were Looking For:

• Studentscurrently andcontinuingenrollmentin aMastersor PhD Programat Memorial University with continued enrollment through the full duration of the internship.

• Proficiencyin Python and otherrelevantprogramming languages.

• Strong data analysis skills and ability to work independently on research.

• Eagerness to learn ask questions and take on new challenges.

• Good communicationand collaboration skills in team environments.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with machine learning frameworks and methodologies.

• Familiarity withcloud platforms such as AWS (SageMaker S3)and data tools.

• Knowledge of Large Language Models and their applications.
