Valve Technician AfterMarket Services

Stream-Flo Industries is currently seeking a Valve Technician to work with our Aftermarket Services team in Edmonton Alberta.

Work Conditions:

• Monday to Friday 8 hour days
• Currently ample opportunity for Overtime.
• Work is primarily performed indoors.

Key position functions include:

• Repair all valve equipment while maintaining high standards of production documentation and safety
• Tear down reassemble and troubleshoot valve equipment for repair in accordance with Company standards and procedures and follow Work Order specifications
• Test grease inspect and stamp valves
• Maintain accurate database and documentation
• Calibrate function test and trouble shoot choke valves and a variety of pneumatic hydraulic and electric positioners and actuation
• Record non-conformances as required
• Organize and maintain the work area including maintenance of equipment product storage containers and racking
• Assist with shop housekeeping and maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Occasional yard maintenance work
• After-hours availability when required

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

• High School Diploma
• Related valve repair rebuild and/or teardown experience is an asset but training is provided
• A basic understanding of hand and power tool functionality
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Forklift experience is an asset
• Good communication (oral and written) organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
