Prep Academy Tutors is a private tutoring company providing flexible personalized academic support to students. We specialize in a wide range of subjects and work with learners from elementary school through university.

We are committed to connecting students with knowledgeable passionate tutors who can provide individualized support and help them achieve their academic goals.

We are currently seeking university tutors in the Guelph Ontario area to provide one-on-one academic support to students.

We are looking for tutors with strong subject knowledge who can support students in a variety of university-level courses and disciplines. Whether your expertise is in mathematics sciences English business social sciences or another area we would love to hear from you.

Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification is an asset but it is not required for this position. We are also interested in current university students graduates graduate students teaching assistants course instructors and professionals with strong academic backgrounds and subject expertise.

As a tutor you will work one-on-one with students to provide personalized support guidance and instruction tailored to their individual needs.

• Provide individualized academic support to university students based on your area of expertise.
• Help students develop a deeper understanding of course material and key concepts.
• Provide supplemental practice assignments and resources as appropriate.
• Support students with exam preparation assignments and overall academic skills.
• Adapt your teaching approach to meet each students individual learning style and needs.
• Communicate with students and where appropriate parents or guardians regarding student progress.
• Create a positive encouraging and supportive learning environment.

We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutors who meet the following criteria:

• Strong academic background and subject knowledge in one or more university-level subjects.
• Experience tutoring teaching mentoring or supporting students is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable professional and committed to student success.
• Enjoy working one-on-one with students.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
• Access to reliable transportation is an asset for in-home tutoring opportunities.
• OCT certification is an asset but is not required.
