Tire Retread Technician
Job Summary
Are you mechanically inclined and looking for a hands-on opportunity in manufacturing Kal Tire is seeking Tire Retread Technicians to join our team at our re-manufacturing facility inAmaranth ON just outside of Orangeville.As a Tire Retread Technician youll play a key role in extending the life of commercial tires through the retreading process helping reduce waste and support our commitment to sustainability. Youll be part of a close-knit production team that values precision safety and teamwork.
What to Expect in This Role:
To help you decide if this role is the right fit heres what a typical day looks like:
- Youll work in a manufacturing environment that can be warm noisy and fast-paced.
- Youll be on your feet most of the day using hand tools and machines to inspect buff and prepare tires for retreading.
- The work is repetitive but methodical requiring patience and a strong attention to detail.
- Youll wear protective gear (gloves safety glasses steel-toe boots) and follow strict safety procedures.
- Youll be part of a supportive team that works together to meet daily production goals.
Training & Onboarding:
We know the first few months are crucial thats why we provide:
- Paid training covering retread operations.
- Skill progression through all parts of the tire remanufacturing process.
- Clear expectations and feedback at each stage of your training.
Pay & Benefits:
- Starting wage of 23.09 1.00 premium per hour dependent on experience. We offer a clear path for career advancement with wage increases along the way.

Schedule & Work Environment:
- Full-time afternoon/evening shifts 3:00pm-2:00am.
- No Shift Rotation.
- Sundays and Holidays off.
- Overtime available during peak seasons.

Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude or experience working with tools or equipment.
- Ability to use PPE and follow safety procedures.
- Strong work ethic reliability attendance and teamwork are essential.
- Basic computer skills for recording production data.
- Valid drivers license preferred.
