Job Summary

One-year temporary position with the possibility of a permanent position thereafter.

To effectively meet the companys needs the Transport Team is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport and Customs this role you will leverage your analytical skills to interpret and evaluate data providing critical support to various stakeholders within the supply chain. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze products to determine the most accurate HS code and identify opportunities to reduce customs duties through methods such as certificates of origin duty drawbacks and rulings. 
  • Serve as a liaison between departments to address and coordinate solutions for logistical challenges. 
  • Perform in-depth analyses for transportation projects and initiatives to support decision-making. 
  • Act as the primary point of contact with the customs broker to address and resolve issues related to the import and export of goods. 
  • Audit customs documentation to ensure full compliance with regulations. 
  • Respond to inquiries from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and provide accurate timely information.

 


Qualifications :

To join our team you need: 

  • Diploma in operations management and/or logistics with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.  Certificate in customs compliance (asset). 
  • Have good knowledge of customs and transport regulations; CUSMA rules of origin HST code Incoterms Canada and United States transport documents. 
  • Good knowledge of Excel for V LOOKUP and pivot tables. 
  • Bilingual in French and English both spoken and written as you will need to collaborate with colleagues and clients across Canada
