Position Summary
The Laser Technician programs develops modifies and maintains Trumpf 8030 L60 equipment and all tooling fixtures. The individual will be responsible for setting-up troubleshooting and programming Trumpf 8030 L60 Laser Cells.
Minimum Job Requirements
Grade 12 Education or GED
Minimum 1 year laser cutting experience as Assistant or Leader
Competition of 1 or more of the following:
- Industrial Laser Safety Officer (LSO) Training Certified
- TruCell 8030 Advanced Operators Course Certificate
- TruLaser Cell 8030 Technology Training Certificate
Job Responsibilities
Salary: Starting at $38.66 per hour.
Immediate open position.
Set-up Trumpf Laser Cutting Equipment.
Perform prescribed maintenance as per TPM program on Trumpf laser cells to ensure acceptable cutting conditions and start-up requirements.
Monitor quality of cutting process.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining QMS documentation of Cutting and Camera Set-ups.
Teaching cutting cells. (Trumpf 5 axis CNC).
Able to troubleshoot Trumpf 8030 L60 Systems.
Perform maintenance on all laser cutting tools.
When filling in for production technician utilizes ANDON when countering a quality issue or problem that hinders the completion of standardized work during cycle time.
Respond to ANDON calls in a timely manner to address and diagnose issues. Coordinate containment of any suspect parts.
Plan and execute in-house projects and program launches.
Perform all duties in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Karmax Environmental Policy Statement3 Ps. Prevent Pollution Preserve Natural Resources & Protect our Environment
Perform other duties as required.

Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies of Karmax Manufacturing.

Lean manufacturing and 5S concepts awareness and adherence.
