Technician II Structured Cabling

As a Technician II Structured Cabling with Bosch Building Technologies you will be a key contributor to the installation maintenance and support of structured cabling systems for our clients. Your technical expertise and attention to detail ensure the delivery of reliable highquality infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Install and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio Visual andCCTV;includespre-wiring installation termination labeling testing and reporting per specifications and drawings.
• Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms.
• Interact with customers and prospects ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally.
• Adhere to Bosch Building TechnologysQuality and Safety programs.
• Complete detailed and accurate documentation including OHS checks packing slips checklists as-builts test results.
• You may be required to work night shifts when needed based on project/service requirements.
• Consistently provide high levels of customer service.
• Travel and overtime may be requested with this position on an ad hoc basis.
• Perform additional duties as required.

• 3 - 5 years of experience in structured cabling installation & servicing.
• Valid Drivers License with clean abstract and no restrictions.
• Experience pulling terminating and testing cat5/6 and fiber optic cables.
• Experience installing other cabling infrastructure (racks cabinetsetc).
• Experience installing other low voltage systems (CCTV access control AV wireless unified communication nurse call RTLS).
• Flexibility to work in a variety of environments from construction sites to finished corporate offices.
• Comfortable working at heightsand must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Post-secondary education in electrical telecommunications electronics or equivalent is considered an asset.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. BICSI CFOT Specific Manufacturer training) are a plus.

• While performing the duties of this job the employeeis regularly required tostand climb walk sit push pull squat crawl and stoop. The employeeis regularly required touse hands to finger handle feel objects and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will berequiredto effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsand maybe requiredto work at heights over 1.8m(6 feet)

• While performing the duties of this job the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions work on job sites may berequiredto travel to and from job site locations may work in a typical office environment and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may berequired. High work may berequired.
