Position Summary

As Technical Deployment Manager you will independently lead the implementation of Signal1s AIMS platform at partner health systems from kickoff through go-live and steady-state handoff. You will run the project management backbone of each deployment: coordinating status updates preparing and presenting steering committee (steerco) materials ensuring stakeholders have proper access and a shared understanding of key deadlines and problem-solving through the technical organizational and political barriers that come up along the way. You will work closely with Signal1s product engineering and Deployment/Partner Success teams and with technical clinical and project leaders at our hospital partners.

This role suits someone who has already built their project management discipline elsewhere whether through enterprise technology implementation or a formal PMO/transformation function and is ready to take ownership of external executive-facing delivery from day one without needing a senior layer above them to run interference.

We prefer candidates based in Toronto for a hybrid work arrangement but are open to candidates located elsewhere.

In this role you will:

  • Own the project plan timeline and risk/issue log (RAID) for assigned AIMS implementations end-to-end from initial scoping through go-live and evaluation
  • Coordinate regular status updates and run project cadence with both internal deployment teams and client stakeholders (IT clinical informatics governance/compliance leads)
  • Prepare and present steering committee materials to hospital executive sponsors (CIO/CAIO/CMIO-level audiences) independently and with confidence
  • Ensure proper data and system access is provisioned and that all parties understand key deadlines and dependencies before they become critical-path issues
  • Design workflows in collaboration with clinical and technical stakeholders through workshops and observation and configure the AIMS platform to reflect each clients unique workflow
  • Identify project risks early evaluate root causes and problem-solve through technical and organizational barriers escalating only what genuinely needs escalation
  • Set and communicate priorities clearly and motivate project partners (internal and client-side) to hit key milestones
  • Convene lead or participate in project meetings involving client representatives building rapid rapport across technical and clinical audiences
  • Systematically capture user pain points workflow gaps and unmet needs surfaced during configuration and training and translate them into structured input for product and engineering
  • Design and deliver training for client teams so they can operate confidently in AIMS post-go-live and provide ongoing support as usage matures
  • Drive adoption plans that move client teams from legacy processes to AIMS-based workflows identifying resistance points and working through them with practical solutions-oriented fixes
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships ensuring satisfaction at every stage of the project
  • Monitor and report on project status to senior leadership at both Signal1 and hospital partners integrating feedback into product development and delivery quality
  • Follow the policies and procedures of Signal1s Quality Management System (QMS) and engage in continuous improvement of the QMS
  • Other duties as assigned including potential travel to client sites

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deployments at once (typically 24 accounts in parallel) with strong judgment on prioritization and multi-threading
  • 58 years of project management experience either in enterprise software implementation (healthcare IT clinical systems or regulated SaaS) or in a PMO/transformation function with a track record of delivering to external customers
  • Exceptionally organized you default to structure (RAID logs status frameworks milestone tracking) without being told to and make that structure look effortless to the people relying on it
  • Excellent communicator especially in writing able to turn a messy project status into a clear confident steerco deck for an executive audience
  • Demonstrated ability to run executive-level status and steerco communications independently not just internal team standups
  • Working technical fluency: comfortable in conversations about integrations data flows and governance/vetting workflows without needing to write code
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder matrixed projects (client teams internal engineering client IT/clinical staff)
  • Proven ability to build rapid rapport with a diverse range of clinical and technical stakeholders
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts tools methodologies and best practices; PMP CSM or equivalent certification preferred
  • Experience across the entire project lifecycle from initial conceptual design through final implementation and close
  • Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-scaling startup environment

Nice to have:

  • Background in a corporate PMO consulting PMO or transformation office with direct external-client delivery exposure
  • Prior experience at a health system EHR vendor or healthcare AI/clinical software company
  • Exposure to AI governance model risk or clinical decision support deployments

Our Perks:

  • Competitive compensation and stock options
  • Peers from diverse cultural backgrounds and academic areas
  • Entrepreneurial open-minded and energetic culture
  • Excellent health and extended health coverage
  • Four weeks of paid vacation
  • Building impactful AI products and services that will transform hospital care!
