Team Lead, Production Engineering

We are seeking a Team Lead Production Engineering NC Data to lead a team responsible for the manufacturing data that powers automated steel fabrication across shipbuilding and repair programs. Acting as the functional owner of NC data you will ensure the accuracy quality and timely delivery of information used by cutting marking beveling and welding equipment.

Working closely with Production Planning Engineering and Design Agents you will provide technical leadership resolve complex data and manufacturing challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support safe efficient and reliable operations.

• Lead mentor and coordinate the NC Data team.
• Manage priorities schedules resources and deliverables for construction and repair programs.
• Ensure the quality integrity and configuration control of NC manufacturing data.
• Develop and improve NC data processes standards and quality controls.
• Review validate and troubleshoot NC data from external Design Agents.
• Create NC files for structural and outfitting components replacement parts and production aids.
• Collaborate with Design Agents software providers and equipment vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Support testing and validation of new equipment software and manufacturing processes.

• Engineering Degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma.
• 8 years of shipbuilding ship design or related heavy manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of production methods planning processes material flow and manufacturing constraints.
• Experience with NC data development validation and configuration control for automated fabrication.
• Ability to work with large datasets from CAD/PLM PBOM nesting NC programming and ERP systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Experience with Messer HGG Profile Cutting Machine MicroStep and SMWP equipment is considered an asset.
