Description

Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment As a Tarper you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and secure transportation of gypsum wallboard products. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with loading properly securing and tarping loads and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. With a starting wage of $20.54/hr (and a growth range from $20.54-$23.49) this role requires a strong work ethic attention to detail and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Loading Assistance Assist with loading gypsum wallboard onto transport vehicles.
  • Tarping and Securing Properly tarp and secure loads to prevent damage and ensure safety compliance.
  • General Labor Tasks Perform lifting stacking and movement of materials as required.
  • Equipment Operation Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to aid in loading.
  • Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Inspect tarping materials and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Safety and Cleanliness Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Support to Facility Operations Assist with production and maintenance tasks as needed.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a manufacturing environment exposed to noise dust and temperature variations.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Availability for various shifts including weekends and holidays.


Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Education High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical Ability Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Teamwork & Attention to Detail Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction setting.
  • Skills Familiarity with securing loads and operating material handling equipment.
