The IM/IT Systems Analyst (SA) / Business Analyst (BA) reports to the IM/IT Primary Care Manager and will take direction from either the IM/IT Lead or Sr. Analyst. This position is responsible for the requirement gathering testing implementation maintenance and support for primarily clinical information management and technology solutions and functions across NSH IWK and its many external clients. The IM/IT SA/BA works with their team to collaborate with key clinical and business stakeholders throughout the province as the organization in partnership with the provinces Internal Services Department and the Department of Health and Wellness moves towards the rationalization of disparate systems and the OPOR strategy.
The IM/IT SA/BA will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide support across the organization to leverage IT applications aligned with NSHs and its clients strategic mission vision and goals. The IM/IT SA/BA performs a variety of tasks including but not limited to: evaluation of requests for change data retrieval; troubleshooting and assisting with the resolution of application errors and other system issues; development of materials and the communication of system changes to end users; and building and maintaining all system configuration items in line with best practice and appropriate stakeholder approvals.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Degree or diploma in an Information Technology Business Analysis or Health Related discipline. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and relevant experience
- 1-3 years experience in application programming systems analysis business analysis or systems support an asset
- Experience with EMRs - Telus Med Access and/or QHR Accuro would be considered a strong asset
- Experience and/or training with healthcare information systems and terminology an asset
- Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting an asset
- Certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Project Management (PMP) and/or organizational change management an asset
- Experience supporting clinical application systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment considered an asset
- Ability to troubleshoot and document issues problems and implement resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience creating summary documentation based on evaluation and analysis an asset
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to document and solve issues
- Organizational skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to clearly communicate NSH vision mission and values
- Competencies in other languages an asset French preferred

Pay Scale Type: Non-union
Band: NU04
Hourly Rate: $39.05 - $47.84
Annual Salary: $76147.50 - $93288.00
