VISION:

SCOPE:
Reporting to the Information Systems Manager the Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration maintenance and support of ONWAs technology infrastructure cloud services and organizational technology systems. The position ensures the security availability and reliability of organizational technology resources while providing technical expertise and support to staff across multiple office locations and remote work environments.
The Systems Administrator manages Microsoft 365 services server and network infrastructure cybersecurity controls and system access to support day-to-day operations. The role participates in technology projects system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives while working collaboratively with staff leadership vendors and service providers to deliver secure effective and reliable technology solutions throughout the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
SKILLS:
- Post-secondary Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Information Technology Computer Science Systems Administration Network Administration or a related field.
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in systems administration network administration cloud technologies or information technology support.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 services user accounts permissions and collaboration platforms.
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments Active Directory Group Policy DNS and DHCP.
- Experience supporting network infrastructure including switches routers wireless technologies VPNs and firewall solutions.
- Experience supporting cloud-based environments and remote workforce technologies.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware Hyper-V or equivalent platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and organizational technology systems.
- Experience working with IT service management and ticketing systems.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of enterprise technology platforms collaboration tools governance frameworks cybersecurity principles and security best practices.
- Knowledge of Windows Server administration Active Directory Group Policy DNS and DHCP.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure connectivity solutions and technology support practices.
- Knowledge of backup recovery disaster recovery and business continuity principles.
- Understanding of cloud technologies hybrid environments and modern workplace solutions.
- Knowledge of IT service management practices ticketing systems and technical support processes.
- Ability to speak an Indigenous language is considered an asset.
