As a senior Associate Sustainability Assurance youll help deliver assurance services related to greenhouse gas emissions ESG information and sustainability disclosure requirements.

In this role youll work with multidisciplinary teams and clients to gain an understanding of their business operations data collection processes and the controls that help ensure the reliability of their sustainability reporting.

The Opportunity

AsaSustainability Assurance Senior Associateunlockyour potential andembracethe chance to drive meaningful outcomesthatllelevate your career. Your role will include butisntlimited to:

Enhancing the credibility of our clients sustainability reports byparticipatingin independent assurance engagements over non-financial information including greenhouse gas emissions environmental social and governance (ESG) indicators as well as other key datadisclosedin sustainability reports
Assessing whether the sustainability data and disclosures are preparedin accordance withrecognized standards frameworks and guidance including the Greenhouse Gas Protocol the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) standards the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and other applicable requirements
Support clients in preparing for an assurance engagement by providing observations and recommendations on their policies methodologies data collection processes internal controls calculations and disclosures
Contribute to advisory engagements related to the preparation review and enhancement of sustainability reports the governance of disclosed information compliance with current and emerging requirements as well as the adoption of leading market practices

Relevant post-secondary degree ideally in accounting finance or a related field and be pursuing or have obtained your CPA designation which would be a significant asset for this role
Experience in public accounting accounting advisory services financialreportingor sustainability-related work
Strong interest in sustainability topics greenhouse gas emissions and the evolving landscape of sustainability reporting standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with sound professional judgment particularly for assessing the quality consistency and traceability of data used in sustainability reports
Strong attention to detail organizational skills and a disciplined approach to planning executing and documenting work while effectively managing engagement priorities and deadlines
Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with team members managers and clients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate observations questions andrecommendationsand build trusted relationships with clients
Proficiencywith technology tools data analysis and the responsible use of digital solutions including AI-powered tools to enhance the efficiency and quality of work
Full professionalproficiencyin English in addition to French with the ability to support and collaborate with English-speaking clients colleagues and stakeholders as part of your role at PwC Canada

The salary range for this position is $65600 - $109300. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada base salary is determined by your skills experience qualifications and work addition to base salary eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
