RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
Under the supervision of the Manager of Biomedical Equipment the incumbent will work on a project in equipment management.

General Duties
Develops equipment lists for laboratories platforms and clinical research
Updates information relative to the listed equipment into a database application
Obtains information relating to the listed equipment from manufacturers or suppliers and stores these documents in a systematic fashion in an electronic storage system
Compiles and structures manuals certificates and other data relevant to the Technical Services Division into a database as necessary
Assists with Biomedical and research equipment maintenance activities
Reviews applications for Biomedical and research equipment acquisitions
Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.

Education / Experience

Education: Student of CEGEP or University level

Work Experience: No experience required

Required Skills

Advanced knowledge of oral and written French is required.
An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required as the position requires regular and complex contact with researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English.

Sound knowledge of general office routines
Experience in creating data base-ready spreadsheets
Detail-oriented
Autonomous
Good organizational interpersonal and communication skills.

Additional information

Status : Temporary Full-time
Pay Scale: $16.60 - $27.09. Commensurate with education and work experience.
Work Shift: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30p.m. Mondays to Fridays.
Work Site: Glen Site (1001 Décarie) and Montreal General Hospital
