Physical Security & Crisis Management (PSCM) helps keep Sun Lifes people workplaces and operations safe by supporting physical security crisis preparedness incident response investigations risk assessments and employee safety programs across the organization. Within PSCM the Security Technology team focuses on the systems and tools that support this work including access control video surveillance security platforms automation and emerging technologies that help improve how security services are delivered.
The Security Technology Coordinator role will report to the Manager Security Technology and work closely with internal team members to act as an AI and automation champion with a focus on supporting and coordinating 2027 technology initiatives including Copilot Studio development video management rollout planning Power Automate Solutions and CCURE-9000 upgrade coordination.
What will you do
As a Security Technology Coordinator with a global focus your primary role is to:
- Support the development of an AI and automation roadmap for Physical Security & Crisis Management by identifying opportunities to improve processes reduce manual effort and create measurable business value while building and supporting practical automation solutions using tools such as Power Automate Copilot and Copilot Studio.
- Act as an AI and automation champion by engaging with PSCM teams researching new use cases and sharing practical ideas through regular updates or a monthly newsletter.
- Assist with project coordination activities including tracking action items documenting meeting minutes supporting follow-ups and helping facilitate project meetings as experience grows.
What do you need to succeed
- Post-secondary education in Information Security Business Management Computer Science or related field or experience.
- Technical aptitude: Hands-on experience in AI automation and process improvement using tools such as Power Automate Copilot Studio GenAI and Agentic AI related technologies.
- Problem solving: A self-starter mindset with the ability to think critically work through ambiguity and recommend practical solutions.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to ask good questions facilitate discussions and present recommendations clearly.
- Creativity: Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset with an interest in finding new ways to improve workflows and team effectiveness.
- A graduation date of April 2027 or later.
Preferred Skills
- High proficiency with relevant computer applications including Word Excel and Power Automate. Experience with physical access control video management platforms and incident management software will be considered an asset.
- Results-oriented with a proven record of delivering to deadline with the ability to multi-task and prioritize a wide range of tasks while understanding the big picture and inter-dependencies across processes and systems.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
