Job Summary

The Student Recruiter is responsible for the implementation of the strategic recruitment plan for UFV and is responsible for effective and direct student recruitment. The Student Recruiter provides information about programs services and careers to identified target markets for the purpose of generating inquiries and applications.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a Bachelors degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid BC Drivers License.
  • Two years experience in student recruitment admissions outreach or customer engagement including preparing and delivering presentations conducting recruitment events building relationships with schools and community partners and providing prospective students with information on programs admissions and student services.
  • Excellent public speaking skills and polished presentation skills required.
  • Ability to relate and present energetically and effectively to secondary school students and other prospective students and audiences.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Good computer skills including ability to use the internet MS Office and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with using social media platforms for marketing and brand awareness.
  • Proactive self starter willing to take initiative and manage multiple responsibilities and tasks.
  • Ability to work independently to establish and meet priorities and exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to comprehend scope of UFV program/instructional offerings and admissions/application and registration procedures.
  • Knowledge of social cultural and economic issues as they pertain to education.
  • Able to uphold confidentiality in accordance with provincial freedom of information and privacy act
  • Ability to lift load and transport display and presentation equipment and materials.
  • Ability to travel extensively outside of UFVs normal hours of work
