Student Automation Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking a student to join us for a 8 or 12 month co-op position starting in January 2027. This position will be based out of Winnipeg MB.
Under supervision of the PMO technical lead or independently complete the following activities:
- Design and develop custom business applications using PowerApps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
- Build and optimize automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Microsoft Teams Dataverse SQL Server and other data sources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements define use cases and deliver scalable solutions.
- Test solutions thoroughly to validate functionality identify and resolve issues and ensure solutions meet business requirements before deployment.
- Develop reports dashboards using tools such as Power BI.
- Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform solutions based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
- Ensure solutions follow best practices for security performance and governance.
- Support Project Management Office activities including reporting data management and process improvement.
- Work with the PMO team and project managers to identify business and technology needs and recommend opportunities for automation standardization or process improvement.
- Assist with maintaining and improving PMO tools templates processes and reporting solutions.
- Provide documentation training and support to end users.
- Ensure documentation is maintained in approved repositories in accordance with company standards.
- Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform updates and recommend improvements.
Who We Need On Our Team
- You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree diploma or certificate in Business Analysis Computer Science or related discipline.
- You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher

- Residency or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction or one of our wholly owned subsidiaries
