Hennessy Collective is partnering with a respected Ottawa-based public accounting firm to recruit a Senior Staff Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys working independently takes ownership of their work and is looking to grow within a supportive and evolving practice.
- Prepare corporate personal and trust income tax returns.
- Prepare year-end working papers and financial statements.
- Manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and individual clients.
- Deliver exceptional client service while identifying opportunities to add value.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work independently while collaborating with partners and the broader accounting team.
- CPA designation or currently in the final stages of obtaining your designation (including candidates awaiting final CPA results).
- Public accounting experience is required.
- Strong experience preparing corporate personal and trust income tax returns.
- Able to work independently with confidence and minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated organized and proactive in managing your workload.
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills.

- Hybrid work model with two days per week in the office offering the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of the week.
