Hennessy Collective is partnering with a respected Ottawa-based public accounting firm to recruit a Senior Staff Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys working independently takes ownership of their work and is looking to grow within a supportive and evolving practice.

What Youll Be Doing
  • Prepare corporate personal and trust income tax returns.
  • Prepare year-end working papers and financial statements.
  • Manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and individual clients.
  • Deliver exceptional client service while identifying opportunities to add value.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work independently while collaborating with partners and the broader accounting team.
What Were Looking For
  • CPA designation or currently in the final stages of obtaining your designation (including candidates awaiting final CPA results).
  • Public accounting experience is required.
  • Strong experience preparing corporate personal and trust income tax returns.
  • Able to work independently with confidence and minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated organized and proactive in managing your workload.
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
