About the team and the role:

eBays Global Focus Categories (GFC) division is an important and quickly growing business segment that drives company growth. It supports flagship categories valued in the billions. Our strategic goal is to grow by reaching new buyer and seller groups. We will also improve our operational model and roll out our offerings on more retail platforms.

In the role of Senior Product Manager Data & Intelligence Platform you will manage product delivery and roadmap development. You will engage with engineering and cross-functional partners to gather customer insights decide on investment priorities and develop scalable platform functions. These functions will serve several products and teams. Based in Toronto you will coordinate with teams throughout North America Europe and India to enable data-driven platform tools supporting important eBay business projects.

What you will accomplish:

• Take charge of product implementation and roadmap delivery for eBays Data & Intelligence Platform working closely with engineering to develop scalable platform capabilities.

• Partner with collaborators across Global Focus Categories Search Business Units and other teams to understand customer needs prioritize requests and translate them into reusable products and services.

• Establish and advance data and intelligence resources that back catalog enrichment product intelligence marketplace insights and other downstream products and experiences.

• Drive product execution from problem definition through delivery by collaborating with engineering data science development and business partners.

• Develop a consistent product operating model by recognizing recurring customer needs setting priorities and transforming individual requests into scalable platform functionalities.

• Communicate product direction roadmap priorities delivery status and key decisions to executives and cross-functional collaborators.

• Collaborate with international groups in North America Europe and India to manage several concurrent projects and provide top-tier platform features.

• Help build the strategic direction of the Data & Intelligence Platform by finding opportunities to use data AI and modern platform technologies to solve meaningful business problems.

What you will bring:

• 7 years of product management experience including work on data-driven or platform products.

• Experience with data platforms AI/ML products marketplace systems or large-scale infrastructure products is greatly appreciated.

• Experience working with large-scale data systems APIs platform products machine learning systems or intelligence products.

• Demonstrated ability to drive product progress from problem definition through delivery while collaborating closely with engineering and cross-functional partners.

• Strong analytical and systems thinking. Able to translate complex datasets customer needs and business problems into scalable product capabilities and measurable business outcomes

• Proven ability to lead collaboratively and manage relationships across Product Engineering Data Science and Business groups.

• Experience with data platforms ML signals or competitive intelligence products is highly advantageous.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave).
