Reporting directly to the Team Coordinator of the Finishing department we are hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our product manufacturing this hands-on production role you will execute painting jobs end-to-end including surface preparation mixing coatings spray application and final quality inspection and cleanup.
As our new Industrial Painter you will play a key role in delivering high-quality finishes that meet strict standards for appearance durability and colour consistency. You will work with industrial spray equipment and surface preparation tools in a fast-paced environment where precision consistency and attention to detail are essential contributing directly to product quality and continuous improvement.
This is a full-time hourly contract role (approximately 6 months) working day shift (7:30am4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am2:00pm Friday) on-site at our Scarborough manufacturing facility with potential for permanent employment depending on business needs.

As our new Industrial Painter you will:
Prepare surfaces and materials. You will clean sand and mask components to ensure proper surface preparation and paint adhesion. You will mix paints and coatings to achieve accurate colour matches and consistent finishes including adjustments for viscosity and application requirements.
Execute spray painting work. You will apply paint and coatings using spray equipment to achieve even coverage correct thickness and high-quality finishes. You will adjust spray settings and techniques based on material type and product requirements. You will identify and correct surface or finish defects such as runs uneven coverage or contamination.
Inspect and maintain quality standards. You will inspect completed work for defects and ensure all painted products meet internal quality standards. You will support collaboration with the quality and production teams to ensure consistency and alignment with specifications.
Maintain equipment and work area. You will perform routine cleaning and maintenance of spray guns booths and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. You will promptly report equipment issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Adhere to policies and procedures. You will follow all WHMIS requirements and Occupational Health & Safety Act & Regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures. You will ensure safe handling of paints coatings and hazardous materials at all times.
You have:
The background. You have several years of hands-on experience in spray painting ideally in a manufacturing automotive industrial or production environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training or certification in spray painting or coatings is an asset. Experience in colour matching is preferred.
The technical skills. You are confident using spray guns compressors mixing systems sanding tools and masking materials. You understand surface preparation techniques and how they impact finish quality adhesion and durability.
The problem-solving skills. You can interpret work instructions visual standards and specifications to deliver consistent results. You are able to troubleshoot finish issues and adjust technique equipment settings or material application to correct defects.
The attention to detail. You take pride in producing clean consistent high-quality finishes. You are particularly strong in identifying surface imperfections and ensuring colour consistency and visual accuracy.
The organization and adaptability. You can manage multiple work orders adjust to shifting priorities and maintain focus in a fast-paced production environment. You are equally effective working independently or as part of a team.
The interpersonal skills. You communicate clearly and professionally and are open to feedback and coaching. You build effective working relationships with teammates supervisors and other departments to support production flow.
The flexibility. You are willing to work extended hours during peak production periods to support delivery timelines.
Compensation:
