Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary full-time Specialist Strategic Change Communications to join our dynamic Communications team in our Donor Engagement and Corporate Reputation division.
The Communications team empowers and motivates individuals to join Canadas Lifeline by creating engaging content building brand affinity and preserving confidence in Canadian Blood Services.
In this roleyou will support our change communications team to effectively reach employees working across theregionin different roles divisions andenvironments. Youwill be accountable for the planning development andproduction of communications strategies products and resources in support of organizational transformationbusiness goals and high priority initiatives.
This role requires both handson content production and the ability to provide strategic change communications advice to internal partners.This highlycollaborative role will also require excellent relationship building skills. You will work closely with a broad range oforganizational partners to provide communications guidance.
You will safeguardCanadas Lifelinebyhelping employeesand stakeholdersunderstand adopt and sustain change by delivering timely relevant and audience-centered communications throughout the change lifecycle.
- Leveraging your demonstrated knowledge and expertise you will advise create and executecommunicationsstrategiesat different stages of changetosupport the goals and objectives of Canadian Blood Services.
- Utilizing your creative mindset and strong attention to detail you will produce creative content (written videoand visual) in alignment with brand guidelines. Content development supports internal audiences in a varietyof channels.
- Leveragingwhat you know about the people side of change you will develop compelling change narratives and storytelling approaches that help employees understand the purpose impact and benefits of change.
- Working closely with executive leaders andprojectsponsors you will shape and deliver leaderled communicationsto support credibility clarity and consistency during change.
- Applying your resourcefulnessand adaptability you will support engagement opportunities that deepen employee commitment to Canadas Lifeline.
- Drawing on your exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build impactful relationships you will supportdivisional partners including but not limited to People Culture and Performance to enhance employeeexperience initiatives.
- Harnessing your strong ability tocollaborateacross diverse teams you will safeguard our brand andreputation by working with subject matter experts to ensure high quality brand-aligned consistent andaccuratecontent.
- Post-Secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution is essential preferably in Public Relations Journalism Communications or Marketing.
- 5 years of communications-related experience; minimum 3 years of other related experience.
- Demonstrated experience supporting organizational change initiatives across multiple audiences or geographies.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills are required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Prosci Change Management Certification would be considered an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education training and experience may be considered.
- Percentage in lieu of benefits and vacation.

- This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/ 2 days of the week at the Vancouver Oak Street location.
