Solutions Engineer

As Toast continues to grow we are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to help us continue to grow internationally expanding into mid - market and enterprise accounts.

About this role:

• Assist Sales teams in presenting the Toast product and platform to prospects and be able to demonstrate the value of a complete solution to each buying persona
• Become a subject matter expert on Toast products with complete knowledge of the technologies application software and integrated partners and future product roadmap
• Work closely with Sales Enablement regionally to provide training and product expertise
• Communicate with Toast product teams to clearly communicate gaps in product/market fit to drive strategic investments
• Attend trade shows and other events as a Toast brand ambassador
• Must have ability to work closely with Product Management Sales Enablement and Marketing teams
• Drive cross functional collaboration across the business to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met in delivery
• Use restaurant industry knowledge / experience to consult with prospects on how Toast can help them outperform their peers

Do you have the right ingredients:

• Presentation Skills: Executive presence and the ability to articulate complex products and ideas with clarity and handle complex customer communications fluently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Strong understanding of APIs (coding skills not required)
• Sales Experience: 3 years of sales experience in a closing or closing support role within the Restaurant/Hospitality segment.
• Collaborative: Highly collaborative serving as a trusted partner to sales onboarding and product teams with strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Industry Experience: Must have experience with cloud POS systems ideally within the Restaurant Hospitality or related industry. Experience with multi-location brands enterprise/franchise IT systems or complex organizational structures is highly desirable.
• Must be willing to perform nationwide travel to support business needs.

Special Sauce (non-essential skills nice to have):

• Hospitality Experience: Must have experience working in hospitality in some capacity giving you the ability to understand the challenges our customers face quickly.
• Toast Product Knowledge: Prior experience with Toast POS is preferred within sales implementation training or support.
• Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision: This role will require working independently as the first member of the team within the UK region.
