The Role

As aSenior Specialist - Software Developmentreporting to theHead of Market Data and AI Enablementyoullplay a key role in designing building modernizing and supporting business-critical enterprise applications. You will be part of the team responsible forNasdaqs Market Data Platform powering market data experiences acrossand supporting millions of retail investors worldwide. The platform processes and serves market data at massive scale handling approximately300 billion requests per month making it one of Nasdaqs most visible and business-critical technology platforms.

Working closely with global teams and stakeholdersyoullleverageyourexpertisein C# .NET API development SQL Server and modern engineering practices to deliver secure scalable and maintainable solutions.Youllcontribute to architecture and technical planning help drive application modernization initiatives and use AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity software quality and delivery speed.

What Youll Do

• Design developmaintain and support enterprise applications scalable web applications REST APIs and system integrations.

• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure reliable and maintainable technical solutions.

• Participate in architecture discussions design reviews and technical planning while contributing to application modernization and digital transformation initiatives.

• Troubleshoot production issues support releases and deployments and implement sustainable solutions that improve system reliability and performance.

• Drive automation engineering best practices secure software development and continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.

• Mentor team members provide technical leadership and collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate development testing debugging documentation code reviews and overall developer productivity.

What Youll Bring

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or a related field with8-12 years of enterprise software development experience.

• Strongexpertisein C# .NET/.NET Core REST API development and modern web application development.

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server including database design stored procedures views indexing query optimization performance tuning and database maintenance.

• Experience supporting business-critical applications including IIS administration deployments production support and operational excellence.

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies software development lifecycle practices source control CI/CD pipelines and secure coding principles.

• Proven ability to solve complex enterprise-scale technical challenges while effectively communicating and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot Claude Code or similar platforms to improve software quality delivery speed and engineering productivity.

• Passion for innovation modernization continuous improvement and mentoring others.

Nice to Have

• Experience with HTML CSS JavaScript Python scripting and automation.

• Experience working with content management systems (CMS).

• Exposure tocloud platforms modern application architectures and application modernization initiatives.

• Experience within Financial Services Capital Markets FinTech or other regulated industries.

• Exposure toAI-enabled business solutions and workflowautomation.

This position willbe located inTorontoand offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office subject to change providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
