Software Developer Intern (Completions)

Pason is seeking a Software Developer Intern for our IWS team for a 16-month internship from May 2027 until August 2028. The IWS team manages Pasons completions software an application which helps well completion operators perform their jobs more safely and efficiently. Our solution is deployed onsite (at the edge) utilizing IoT sensor/control equipment to automate complex valve management processes.

• Become part of an agile development team using a variety of technologies to develop features and functionality for our core product.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development and delivery processes including defining requirements system design estimating code reviews unit tests documentation testing deployment automation and monitoring tools
• Develop software for complex frontend and backend applications utilizing the IWS technology stack which includes Javascript Vue and Python.
• Work with cloud technologies on the Azure platform.
• Provide Tier 3 and customer support
• Perform root-cause analysis for field and lab issues involving IWS products
• Work with Product Management Quality Assurance and User Experience teams to deliver features and functionality that provide exceptional user experience

• Experience with Front End Technologies like Javascript Typescript and Vue.
• Experience with one OO language like Python & C#.
• Experience using SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Linux OS
• Superior reasoning and analytical skills
• High degree of initiative common sense and logical and creative thinking
• Strong passion for software development and a history of getting things done.
• Well-developed communication reporting and presentation skills
• A strong commitment to quality
• The ability to work in a team or as an individual

• This position allows the opportunity for an employee to work in a hybrid environment where a portion of their role is in the office and the other portion remote.

• Currently enrolled in 3rd year studies in Software Engineering Computer Science Computer Engineering or related Program

• Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
