About the Company

Our client is an established Canadian design-build and general contracting firm specializing in commercial construction projects across a variety of sectors. Their work includes interior fit-outs renovations retail and restaurant construction rollouts shopping centres and ground-up developments.

The company works with well-known commercial clients and is recognized for delivering fast-paced projects where quality scheduling coordination and strong site leadership are critical.

Due to continued project activity they are looking to add an experienced Site Supervisor who can take ownership of projects in the field and is comfortable working in different locations across Canada.

The Opportunity

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day management of commercial construction sites coordinating subcontractors trades suppliers schedules safety and overall project execution.

This position is well suited to a hands-on construction professional who has worked across multiple types of commercial projects and is comfortable managing both renovation and ground-up work.

The successful candidate must be flexible regarding travel and working hours including occasional night work depending on project requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily construction activities on site from project start through completion.

  • Coordinate subcontractors trades suppliers deliveries and site personnel.

  • Ensure work is completed according to drawings specifications schedules and quality standards.

  • Monitor construction schedules and identify potential delays or site issues.

  • Maintain strong communication with Project Managers clients consultants trades and other project stakeholders.

  • Conduct site meetings and coordinate upcoming work.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and company policies.

  • Review drawings and specifications and identify potential construction conflicts.

  • Coordinate inspections deficiencies commissioning and project closeout activities.

  • Maintain accurate site documentation daily reports photographs and progress records.

  • Ensure sites remain organized professional and safe.

  • Resolve day-to-day construction challenges and escalate significant project issues when required.

  • Support successful delivery of projects on schedule and within expected quality standards.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Site Supervisor Superintendent Construction Supervisor or similar role within commercial construction.

  • Strong experience with commercial interior fit-outs and renovations.

  • Experience with retail restaurant/QSR shopping mall rollout or ground-up construction projects is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods sequencing materials and trades.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural structural and construction drawings.

  • Strong subcontractor and trade coordination experience.

  • Good understanding of construction health and safety requirements.

  • Strong communication organization and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of site operations.

  • Valid drivers licence.

  • Must be willing and able to travel outside Ontario when required.

  • Must be flexible to work evenings or overnight shifts when project schedules require.
