Site Supervisor Beyond the Bell

The Beyond the Bell Site Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a school-age learning enrichment program serving children in Grades 13. This role combines program leadership staff supervision relationship building and operational oversight to ensure children receive engaging inclusive and high-quality learning experiences.

As the site leader you will mentor and support a team of Program Leaders oversee program quality and safety and work collaboratively with families schools and YMCA colleagues to create positive outcomes for children and the community.

• Schedule: MondayFriday 10:30 AM6:00 PM (35 hours per week)

The Site Supervisor plays a critical role in shaping childrens experiences by ensuring program quality supporting a strong staff team and fostering meaningful relationships with families and community partners. Through effective leadership and collaboration you will help create a welcoming space where children can develop confidence curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

You will lead the successful delivery of a dynamic and engaging school-age enrichment program while supporting staff children and families.

• Oversee the planning and delivery of high-quality play-based learning experiences that support literacy and numeracy development.
• Ensure programs are inclusive culturally responsive developmentally appropriate and aligned with YMCA values.
• Supervise schedule and support a team of Program Leaders while fostering a positive accountable and collaborative workplace culture.
• Provide coaching mentorship onboarding and training to staff while supporting professional growth and addressing performance concerns when needed.
• Maintain a safe organized and well-supervised program environment that meets YMCA policies and regulatory standards.
• Implement and oversee positive behaviour guidance practices and respond appropriately to incidents through documentation and escalation processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families school staff and community partners serving as a key point of contact.
• Oversee daily operations including staffing levels scheduling program flow and transitions throughout the day.
• Maintain accurate attendance records reporting requirements and program documentation.
• Manage supplies resources registration support and waitlists to ensure efficient program operations.
• Collaborate with the Manager Community Youth and Young Adult Programs to support overall program success and continuous improvement.

• Certification or current studies in Early Childhood Education (ECE) Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) Child Care Educator Assistant (CEA) or a related field is considered an asset.
• Minimum two years of experience working with children in educational recreational or developmental settings.
• Valid First Aid and CPR-C certification or willingness to obtain.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a team.
• Strong leadership communication coaching and conflict-resolution skills.
• Confidence in decision-making and managing daily program operations.
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and program documentation systems.
• Experience creating inclusive child-centered learning environments.
