Shop Technician

Macdonalds Home Health Care is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shop Technician to join our this role you will support the setup preparation and maintenance of mobility and home medical equipment ensuring it is safe clean and ready for client use.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools takes pride in quality work and values being part of a team that makes a meaningful difference in peoples lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up inspect and prepare equipment for rentals demonstrations and client purchases
• Clean maintain and perform quality checks on returned equipment
• Assist Seating and Mobility Consultants with equipment trials and demonstrations
• Follow company safety procedures to maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Complete setup documentation and record work performed in internal systems
• Assemble and adjust wheelchairs scooters and other mobility equipment
• Gather and organize equipment parts and hardware required for setups
• Ensure all equipment is prepared according to manufacturer specifications and client needs
• Label equipment parts and accessories accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop seating and demo areas
• Prepare client documentation including manuals and care instructions

Required Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Capability to lift heavy equipment up to 100 lbs
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office computers and internet use
• Healthcare experience is an asset
