- Prepare layouts cut and shape metal components and assemble finished products using tools heavy duty machines and welding processes.
- Work with engineering drawings sketches or original parts and if required produce accurate working drawings or sketches or components.
- Fabricate and repair a range of tools and equipment.
- Use of manual and/or power operated tools and machines relevant to metal fabrication and forming.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum two (2) years of metal fabrication experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to become proficient in interpreting work orders mechanical drawings sketches and written instruction and record work done.
- Demonstrated safe work habits and adherence to safety regulations and practices on a sustained basis.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
