Enjoy a unionized work environement in a 24/7 capable manufacturing facility. Work schedule is Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. 3:00 pm occaisonal overtime may be required.

Compensation: $37.87 per hour in accordance with the collective agreement.
The Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for the safe and efficient shipping and receiving of bulk and packaged materials used in water treatment chemical manufacturing. This position works in a unionized manufacturing environment and requires a strong commitment to safety teamwork and adherence to established procedures.
What Youll Bring to the Team
- Minimum one year of experience in a shipping/receiving role.
- Experience with bulk loading is considered an asset.
- Lift truck operating experience.
- TDG and chemical-handling experience are considered assets.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable regulations.
- Computer literacy including experience with SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft software.
- Familiarity with mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic systems pumps and PLCs is considered an asset.
- Mobile crane operating experience is considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position including climbing stairs entering reactors where required handling hoses and wearing respiratory protection.
- Ability to safely and repeatedly lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
Your Responsibilities
- Follow all established procedures safety rules and applicable regulations.
- Load liquid bulk chemical tankers safely and in accordance with established procedures.
- Fill and load drums and totes.
- Operate lift trucks for loading trucks and performing various plant tasks.
- Receive raw materials including bulk and packaged materials and other plant items.
- Use SAP/ERP software to complete required shipping and receiving documentation.
- Complete routine inspections and minor repairs as required.
- Enter reactors for production and maintenance purposes in accordance with applicable safety procedures and requirements.
- Assist maintenance and production teams as required.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout the work area.
- Perform other duties related to the position as required.
