Service Manager Heavy Equipment

About the Role

The Service Manager is a handsâon organized leader responsible for guiding the Service team overseeing daily department operations and building strong customer relationships that support ongoing growth in the region. This role ensures the teams work aligns with branch and company goals while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.

What Youll Do

• Oversee daily Service department operations including scheduling quality safety productivity and customer satisfaction
• Lead coach and support Service Technicians and Service Coordinators
• Foster a safe inclusive and engaging work environment
• Monitor facility conditions and recommend maintenance or improvements
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and profitability
• Coordinate training to support continuous learning and skill development
• Monitor employee performance provide feedback and support development plans
• Track departmental KPIs and report performance trends to management
• Hold regular team meetings to review performance safety and operational updates
• Assess staffing needs and recommend adjustments as required
• Participate in recruitment hiring and onboarding activities
• Resolve customer issues conduct customer visits and maintain strong client relationships

What You Bring

Education/ Certification:

• Journeypersons Licensed heavy duty on-off road mechanic preferred
• Valid drivers license and an acceptable drivers abstract based on Company standards.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check where applicable and in accordance with applicable laws.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Service Manager in the field of Heavy Industrial or Agricultural equipment
• Strong mechanical expertise with knowledge of equipment repair processes
• Solid technical knowledge of hydro-electrical systems
• Experience managing a Service P&L and demonstrated with demonstrated results

Work Environment

• Shop warehouse yard office environments
