Senior Superintendent, Highrise Residential Construction

Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee staff to ensure the successful delivery of a single complex commercial and high rise residential construction project to completion
- Ensure that superintendents are equipped with the resources required to efficiently complete projects according to approved plans specifications and applicable building codes while ensuring that safety regulations are strictly followed
- Actively participates in the pre-bid and preconstruction process regarding site layout logistics scheduling and workforce planning
- Participate in the hiring and managing of hourly employees as required and maintains approves and submits hourly timecards with all necessary details for job costing purposes
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors suppliers and clients/consultants to ensure client needs are met and ensure future business opportunities
- Demonstrate leadership in health safety and environmental protection on the project. Applies the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance of Ledcor HS&E standards applicable OH&S acts regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project
- Ensure project materials are supplied and work is completed in compliance with the Project Quality Program
- Develop maintain and drive the construction schedule in conjunction with project team; ensures project milestones and completion dates are met
- Strategically plans and implements manpower levels and material quantities; ensures proper equipment and trades are available as required
- Assume a leadership role and provides guidance to project team members in order to contribute to their development and career growth
- Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the projects ongoing progression
- Oversee project reporting that accurately tracks site progress events inspections and other relevant information
Qualifications:
- 20 years of construction experience as a Superintendent or similar direct supervisory role on large-scale high-rise residential construction projects
- Combination of work experience and/or technical training in an industry-related trade certification/education program
- Extensive experience working on prefabricated or mass timber projects will be highly regarded
- Expertise in safety within the organization and knowledge of OH&S and Environmental standards and regulations
- Superior communication interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to work with senior management
- Excellent organizational planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Strong technical knowledge of modern construction practices documents drawings schedules technologies equipment industry practices and contract negotiations
- Expertise in coaching and developing team members through constructive feedback and providing opportunities for development
- Ability to anticipate problems and challenges while providing leadership in creating innovative solutions to achieve organizational objectives
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license

Compensation
$125600-$172700 per yearThis is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience knowledge skills education and location.
