Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Pursuit Leader to lead major complex and high-value pursuits across sectors disciplines and geographies. This role is responsible for shaping opportunities early through market to opportunity building the win strategy mobilizing the right pursuit team and ensuring a strong transition into pursuit to win. The Senior Pursuit Leader will work closely with client-facing teams sector and account leaders technical experts commercial legal and risk specialists to position Arcadis for success. The role also contributes to pursuit excellence by coaching others improving processes and sharing lessons learned across the region.

Role accountabilities:

You will lead major market-to-opportunity pursuits by managing capture activities pursuit planning opportunity positioning and team mobilization for assigned strategic opportunities. You will ensure each pursuit has a clear win strategy a robust bid plan and is ready for governance before transitioning to pursuit-to-win.

As part of this role you will shape pursuit strategy by developing capture outputs influencing go/no-go decisions commercial positioning teaming approaches bid investment and proposal strategy. You will challenge assumptions constructively and align stakeholders around a differentiated client-focused approach.

You will also work collaboratively with client-facing teams sector and account leaders technical leads commercial finance legal and risk specialists to bring the right expertise into each pursuit. You will coordinate closely with Proposal Leaders and Coordinators to ensure the intelligence strategy and value proposition developed during market to opportunity are carried through into pursuit to win.

Within this position you will coach Pursuit Leaders support regional process improvement and promote best-practice sharing across pursuit teams. You will maintain clear pursuit records capture lessons learned and help improve win quality cost-to-win efficiency and overall pursuit excellence.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent demonstrable impact leading complex pursuits through market to opportunity and pursuit to win interfaces
• Proven ability to lead major high-value multi-disciplinary or cross-country pursuits from early positioning through bid handover
• Strong understanding of pursuit governance opportunity qualification capture planning and right-to-win strategy
• Experience developing win strategies value propositions pursuit plans and strategic positioning recommendations
• Commercial awareness across pricing risk differentiation bid investment and client value drivers
• Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead workshops align stakeholders and drive decisions in complex environments
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders challenge constructively and build alignment across client technical commercial legal and risk teams
• Strong client insight and strategic problem-solving skills with the ability to translate intelligence into actionable pursuit strategy
• Experience coaching pursuit or proposal professionals and contributing to team capability development
• Proficiency in proposal development collaboration and pursuit management tools including Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly InDesign) Microsoft Office and related platforms
• Bachelors degree or equivalent with relevant professional certification and/or chartered status preferred
• APMP Capture Practitioner certification preferred
