Senior Project Manager – Store Fixtures (Custom Manufacturing & Installation)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of custom store fixture projectsfrom initial concept through manufacturing delivery and installation.
This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time on budget and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate across clients engineering production logistics and installation teams while maintaining strong trusted relationships with stakeholders across North America.
In addition to project execution this role includes client relationship development and identifying new business opportunities to support continued company growth.
- Review client drawings specifications and requests for quotation
- Collaborate with engineering and clients to confirm technical requirements site conditions and installation constraints
- Prepare detailed take-offs cost estimates and quotations with support from engineering
- Coordinate and review shop drawings for client approval; manage revisions as required
- Initiate and manage work orders production schedules and shipping timelines based on approved drawings and purchase orders
- Monitor project progress through manufacturing logistics and installation to ensure alignment with specifications and deadlines
- Liaise with plant engineering logistics and installation teams to ensure seamless execution
- Source and coordinate third-party installers where required
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain strong relationships with client representatives contractors and site teams across Canada and the U.S.
- Coordinate shipping and installation schedules with client construction teams and site requirements
- Conduct site visits and participate in client meetings (as required)
- Review site reports deficiency lists and inspection documentation to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Track project budgets costs and timelines to ensure profitability and financial accuracy
- Issue invoices and support accounts receivable follow-up
- Ensure project documentation is accurate up to date and properly recorded in internal systems (ERP/CRM platforms)
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities through industry relationships and referrals
- Support the development of proposals RFP responses and client presentations
- Participate in client meetings to introduce capabilities and expand existing accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams to position and win new business opportunities
- Maintain accurate project data within ERP and CRM systems
- Ensure all scope changes are documented and approved in writing
- Communicate project updates clearly and consistently to all stakeholders
- 5 years of project management experience in manufacturing construction fixtures millwork or a related industry
- Strong ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication coordination and client-facing skills
- Experience in millwork wood products retail fixtures or custom fabrication
- Familiarity with production environments installation logistics and supply chain coordination
- Experience working with technical drawings and specifications
- Projects delivered on time within budget and to specification
- Strong long-term client relationships built on trust and responsiveness
- Smooth coordination between engineering production logistics and installation teams
- Growth in both existing accounts and new business opportunities
Required Skills:
Support function for the Senior. Engineering Designer. a) Review Work Orders: Reinforce correct information coming from PMs and captured into the WO before its released to the shop floor. b) Checks drawings for correctness. Review work orders for accuracy and completeness issue work orders (as required). Review inventory levels for accuracy and completeness. Review shipping pick lists for accuracy and completeness. Revise and update ERP data; create processes/procedures for inputting future data where necessary. Oversee the SCAF (Sub Contractor Agreement Form) process. Analyze the current raw materials management systems for efficiency and effectiveness. Provide support coaching and implementation assistance for new production initiatives as required. Ex. new warehouse inventory management system. Perform duties and tasks in other departments as required under the direction of the Management team (i.e. Project Management Engineering Purchasing Shipping Receiving and Production).
