Job Summary


A Brief Overview

This position develops and implements marketing and communications strategies and plans that promote and profile the Isabel performance series and other events and programs hosted at The Isabel including the profile of The Isabel. This position performs market research reviews analytics and recommends changes accordingly. This position manages the organizations customer relationship management (CRM) direct response subscription and single ticket strategy and campaigns publicity communications efforts and oversees box office website and social media activities. This role oversees the daily box office operations management of the ticketing system Spektrix and season set up. This role has supervisory responsibility of the Box Office Coordinator as well as casual box office employees. This position is responsible for setting revenue and expense targets for marketing activities and setting and managing subscription and single ticket revenue and expense budgets. This position also manages ongoing marketing and communications projects.

Job Description

What you will do

  • Creates implements and regularly updates communications marketing and advertising plans that promote and profile events and programs.

  • Provides input to assist staff with the development and implementation of communication plans and marketing strategies.

  • Manages and executes communications and marketing projects.

  • Performs qualitative and quantitative market research including leading focus groups assessing analytics reviewing feedback and data and recommending approaches.

  • Writes articles social media content releases briefing notes speaking notes key messages Q&As fact sheets video content and other materials.

  • Organizes annual media buys and advertising schedules. Investigates and recommends new advertising opportunities.

  • Organizes event/facility photography and video production.

  • Develops suitable performance analytics for communications activities.

  • Monitors content and links to the website.

  • Organizes electronic communications with external groups.

  • Provides support for issues and crisis management responses.

  • Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.
Required Education
  • Four-Year Bachelor Degree or addition requires trade certification qualification or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.

Required Experience
  • More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.
    • Experience developing and managing marketing plans considered an asset.

    • Experience in financial planning and analysis practices considered an asset (e.g. forecasting modelling etc.).

    • Experience in managing/developing strategic communication plans considered an asset.

    • Experience with software and web technologies considered an asset (e.g. ServiceNow Customer Relationship Management (CRM) other software packaging etc.).

    • Experience developing coordinating and producing promotional and marketing material considered an asset.

    • Experience in planning and/or managing projects considered an asset.

    • Knowledge of pricing structures and techniques considered an asset.
Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
