Reporting to the Director Human Resources and Talent Acquisition LTC the Senior Manager Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing and executing the organizations talent acquisition strategy to ensure the attraction selection and retention of top talent. This role provides strategic leadership to the Talent Acquisition function aligning recruitment initiatives with business objectives workforce plans organizational growth and future talent requirements.

The role leads a team of Talent Acquisition professionals while fostering strong partnerships across Human Resources and operational leadership supporting our Long Term Care homes across Canada.

This role is based out of our Head Office in Markham with the flexibility to travel 10% of the time. Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead coach and develop a highperforming Talent Acquisition team responsible for highvolume recruitment across assigned regions.

  • Partner with regional leaders to understand workforce needs forecast hiring demands and align recruitment strategies accordingly.

  • UtilizeWorkdayto manage recruitment workflows monitor pipeline activity and ensure data accuracy.

  • Build and deliver regular reporting packages dashboards and presentations for regional leadership and the Director of HR and TA.

  • Design and implement innovative sourcing strategies for high-volume specialized leadership and hard-to-fill positions.

  • Lead executive and senior-level recruitment initiatives as required.

  • Develop strategies to improve quality of hire time-to-fill candidate experience and hiring manager satisfaction.

  • Lead the organizations employer branding strategy to strengthen market reputation and attract top talent.

  • Develop recruitment marketing campaigns leveraging digital channels social media community partnerships and industry networks.

  • Build relationships with educational institutions professional associations immigration partners and workforce development organizations.

  • Identify operational gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency candidate experience and recruiter productivity.

  • Drive accountability within the team through performance management coaching and clear goal setting.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies employment legislation and recruitment best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • 7 years of Talent Acquisition experience including leadership of a recruitment team in a high-volume environment.

  • Demonstrated success leading coaching and developing Talent Acquisition professionals supporting multiple locations.

  • Proficiency with Workday or another enterprise Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

  • Proven ability to develop recruitment KPIs scorecards dashboards and executive reporting for senior leadership.

  • Strong capability to analyze recruitment metrics and workforce data identify trends and translate findings into actionable insights.

  • Ability to present recruitment results market intelligence and hiring strategies to senior leadership teams.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with a track record of partnering with operational leaders across multiple locations.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple recruitment priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced high-volume environment.

  • Strong communication problem-solving and change management skills.

  • Healthcare home care long-term care or other regulated industry background is considered an asset.
