Job Summary
Senior Manager Learning & Talent Development
Support innovative learning and talent development initiatives within a global insurance environment. This hybrid Toronto-based opportunity offers exposure to learning technologies leadership development and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to impactful enterprise learning programs in a dynamic and evolving organization.
What is in it for you:
Salaried: $45-50 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $55-60 per hour.
12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
Flexibility for occasional early morning or after-hours calls with global teams.
Hybrid work model based in Toronto Ontario.
On-site presence required on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage professional skills curricula and learning paths aligned with business objectives.
Design enhance and implement learning courses and programs.
Support the planning and execution of learning technology initiatives and roadmaps.
Maintain service level agreements and reporting standards for learning programs.
Partner with stakeholders to assess learning needs and support strategic initiatives.
Collaborate on learning engagement and marketing initiatives to promote a continuous learning culture.
Work closely with project managers to support milestones planning activities and program delivery.
Analyze learning data and execute data-driven insights to measure program effectiveness.
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports related to learning initiatives and performance metrics.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the learning ecosystem.
Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of learning strategies.
Drive innovative learning solutions using learning technologies and methodologies.
Manage priorities and support project-based learning initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Develop relationships with external learning partners and contribute to industry working groups or committees when required.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelors degree in Learning and Development Adult Education Organizational Psychology Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
Certifications in Learning and Development Organizational Development Adult Education Organizational Psychology or related fields are considered an asset.
5 to 7 years of progressive experience in learning and education environments preferably within the financial services or insurance industry.
Proven experience developing and implementing learning initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Experience designing professional skills learning paths and courses.
Strong background in learning technologies including LMS and learner experience platforms.
Experience with leadership development and AI-driven learning solutions.
Proficiency with data analytics and measurement tools used to assess program effectiveness.
Experience supporting continuous learning models learning culture initiatives and engagement strategies.
Strong instructional design capabilities including online and facilitator-led learning design.
Experience managing large-scale projects and coordinating project plans.
Strong leadership stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Excellent verbal written and presentation communication skills.
Strong project management and organizational skills in fast-paced environments.
High attention to detail and strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Consultative approach with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Experience with continuous improvement and change management initiatives is considered an asset.
Exposure to industry forums leadership committees or advisory groups is considered an asset.
