Location: Edmonton Alberta (Remote within Alberta Occasional Onsite Meetings)
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)

• Standard Hours: 08:15 AM 04:30 PM (Alberta Time)
• Remote role with periodic onsite meetings (34 times/month as needed)

A leading public sector organization is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver multiple Cloud Microsoft 365 and Artificial Intelligence initiatives.

This role involves end-to-end project ownershipfrom planning and analysis through execution and deliverywhile ensuring alignment with organizational objectives governance frameworks and enterprise architecture standards.

• Lead the planning execution and delivery of multiple IT projects
• Develop project charters business cases and detailed project plans
• Manage project scope timelines budgets risks and resources
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define objectives requirements and success criteria
• Oversee project governance reporting and stakeholder communications
• Identify dependencies risks and mitigation strategies
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and compliance standards
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams including Cloud AI and M365 services
• Provide leadership in change management communication and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Track progress and deliver regular updates to leadership and steering committees
• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to project management best practices

• Proven experience as a Senior IT Project Manager managing complex multi-stream projects
• Strong background in Cloud platforms Microsoft 365 or AI-related initiatives
• Experience working within IT infrastructure environments (hardware software applications)
• Solid understanding of project governance risk management and delivery frameworks
• Experience with Change Management and UAT processes
• Excellent communication stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively

• Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and architecture
• Understanding of business processes policies and data requirements
• Experience in project planning tools and reporting frameworks
• Knowledge of public sector or large enterprise environments is an asset

• Must be able to work within Alberta (remote) due to data security requirements
• Availability for occasional onsite meetings with stakeholders and leadership teams
• Contractor must provide their own computer and work equipment compatible with remote access tools
• Background check required prior to onboarding
• Completion of mandatory training upon joining
