Senior Hotel Maintenance TechnicianExplorer Hotel Yellowknife NTThe Explorer Hotel is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this position is responsible for maintaining the hotels mechanical systems guest rooms public areas and exterior property to ensure a safe comfortable and well-maintained environment for guests and employees. The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge excellent troubleshooting skills and a hands-on approach to facility QualificationsApplicants must possess one of the following:Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate; orJourneyperson Certification in HVAC Plumbing or a related must currently reside in Yellowknife NT or be willing to relocate to Yellowknife as a condition of ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel mechanical HVAC plumbing and electrical and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and general maintenance throughout the hotel including guest rooms public areas back-of-house spaces and exterior out drywall repairs painting carpentry and minor renovation promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair routine inspections of building systems equipment and property with seasonal maintenance and exterior property accurate maintenance logs and work order compliance with safety regulations building codes and company the Maintenance Manager with ongoing projects and operational Skills & ExperienceStrong understanding of hotel or commercial building maintenance knowledge of plumbing electrical systems HVAC equipment and mechanical troubleshooting building-related issues and implementing in drywall repair painting carpentry and general construction to work independently and prioritize competing organizational communication and problem-solving to perform physically demanding work including lifting climbing ladders and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather hotel commercial or facilities maintenance experience is considered a strong We OfferCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits packageEmployee hotel and restaurant discountsProfessional development opportunitiesIf you are a skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional service we encourage you to apply and join the team at the Explorer Hotel.
