Senior Healthcare Integration Architect

The Senior Healthcare Integration Architect will provide strategic technical leadership interoperability design and enterprise integration governance for a provincial Clinical Information System (CIS) platform.

The role will define the end-to-end integration architecture interface frameworks and data synchronization patterns connecting acute care primary care and provincial health repositories. The Senior Healthcare Integration Architect will establish integration standards and architectural direction while ensuring integrations meet provincial privacy security and performance requirements.

Establish the healthcare interoperability architecture integration patterns and interface topology supporting the provincial CIS rollout.
Define and govern integration approaches including event-driven integration batch processing RESTful APIs and other applicable enterprise integration patterns.
Establish integration design standards canonical data models mapping policies and governance practices across HL7 FHIR DICOM and IHE profiles including PIX/PDQ and XDS.b.
Lead technical discussions with regional health authorities government stakeholders IT organizations and third-party software vendors.
Design secure data transmission and integration architectures that comply with applicable provincial health information privacy requirements.
Define security approaches incorporating encryption standards TLS mutual authentication identity federation and other applicable integration security controls.
Provide architectural leadership for Enterprise Interface Engines API gateways web services and related integration technologies.
Review integration designs and technical deliverables to ensure alignment with established architecture standards and governance requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Integration Analysts and Interface Developers.
Support architectural consistency across integrations involving clinical systems EHR environments and provincial health repositories.

8 to 10 years of experience in software engineering and integration architecture.
At least 5 years of experience leading enterprise integration within complex healthcare environments.
Deep understanding of hospital workflows and multi-facility Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations.
Strong knowledge of clinical terminologies including SNOMED CT LOINC and ICD-10.
Extensive experience designing solutions using Enterprise Interface Engines such as Rhapsody InterSystems Ensemble/HealthShare MuleSoft or comparable integration technologies.
Experience designing solutions involving API gateways and enterprise integration architecture.
Expert knowledge of HL7 v2/v3 and HL7 FHIR standards.
Strong knowledge of SOAP and REST web services and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience defining enterprise integration standards architecture frameworks canonical data models and governance practices.
Experience architecting secure healthcare data integration solutions in environments subject to provincial privacy security and performance requirements.

Assets

Working knowledge of HL7 FHIR including RESTful APIs and JSON/XML payload structures.
Familiarity with SMART on FHIR.
Experience supporting healthcare system implementations through go-live and stabilization.
Bilingualism in English and French.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70000-$135000. This role is a future opportunity.
