Position Overview

At FortisBC we deliver the energy people across British Columbia rely on every daysafely responsibly and with a focus on a lower-carbon future. Were looking for an experienced engineer to join our team and help ensure our systems continue to operate safely and reliably for the communities we serve.

As a Senior Engineer youll play a key role in supporting the safety and performance of the infrastructure that delivers energy to homes and businesses. Youll assess potential risks contribute to practical solutions and support projects that strengthen system reliability. Working closely with teams across the organization youll help ensure our operations meet high standards for safety performance and compliance.

In this role youll apply your problem-solving skills to evaluate complex challenges and develop effective solutions. Youll collaborate with internal teams contractors and external partners to support work from planning through to execution helping ensure it is delivered safely and efficiently.

Were looking for a senior-level engineer with several years of relevant experience and a Professional Engineer (.) designation or eligibility for registration in British Columbia. You bring sound judgment strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Your experience will help guide decisions and support continuous improvement across our programs and practices.

What it takes:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (.) and/or currently registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (EGBC)
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive engineering experience relevant to pipeline systems energy infrastructure or similarly regulated assets.
  • Experience in integrity management risk assessment asset management or infrastructure engineering is preferred.
